Major Issues *
Thousands of people are waiting right now for a legal way to enter the country and are
hopeful that one day they would be allowed to enter the country to an accepting crowd but with
increased tension, legal migrants have a tougher time trying to enter the country legally. This
causes issues to their communities as they get targeted more often by immigration officers as
well as places pressure onto public institutions/ infrastructure as well as an economic drain. This
inevitably leads to extremism toward both sides as with extremism as more and more opposing
sides look to radical ways of dispatching the undocumented away from their cities. It also
prevents collaboration between ethnicities and leads to more division that can lead to a city or
country to stagnate as a whole.
Main Issues
-
Economic Pressure
The local government would need to provide funds for the immigrants that it doesn’t have. This would lead to multiple groups being underfunded with infrastructure stretch thin. It would also lead to a highly competitive atmosphere for help from the government.
-
Security Risk
As illegals cross the border, many are criminals with a history of violent crime. As well as many of them are drug mules for the cartel. Not to mention that the migrants have a higher risk of getting injured or dying on there way to America.
-
Political Pressure
Countries like the US have been pressuring other foreign governments into preventing migrants from entering their country. This has also lead to more political divide in the US government. As the congress can’t work to well due to the interests of political parties.
